Households with District Heating in Denmark

Tabel 1 and tabel 2 shows 1.713.449 Danish households is currently supplied by district heating. It corresponds to 64.4 percent og all households in Denmark.

Residential Heating in Denmark, 1981-2016

The figure below shows the development of Danish households residential heating type from the periode 1981-2016. Among the different residential heating types, is district heating the most used heating type in 2016.

Danish Households Yearly Consumption of District Heating by Price in the Period from 2010-2016

According to Statistics Denmark is, the development of Danish households yearly consumption of district heating by price fallen in 2010-2016. Tabel 1 shows the development of the yearly consumption by price. Tabel 2 illustrates the development of the price.

Fuel Consumption in Denmark for District Heating Production, percentage distribution

There has been a significant change in the fuel used in the production of district heating since 1990. The production of district heating based on coal is fallen from app. 50 percent in 1990 to current app. 20 percent in 2016. Today, is the production of district heating based on renewable energy increased, so it corresponds to 54 percent of the total district heating production.
